New! Album Covers

Remember that six-track EP of mine from last year? (nope)

So I've tweaked some of the songs and even added a new one.  It's probably far from being a legitimate album by any means, but I feel like it's more complete now.  So while I'm still actually messing around with some of the songs I've decided to make a new new album cover since the old one totally blew balls.  And that's what this post is about.  The album cover.

<AS ALWAYS, PLEASE CLICK ON PICS FOR BIGGER PICS>

So just fucking around in photoshop this probably took a couple of hours (of messing with ideas).  And hey!  I decided to make a reverse side in case anyone needed track info.

So enjoy these covers and please pee yourself in anticipation of me releasing these songs again.

P.S.
Here's a link to the old shitty album art if you're actually interested.  I do believe the link to download the album is not functioning any longer.

Enderman

-- Last night there was a strange noise while I was trying to sleep.  I wanted to ignore it, but something inside me said that I could not sleep because monsters were nearby.  I turned and could see faint glowing particles outside the windows, fading in the night.  Just then I saw that one of my sheep was outside of the pen, and it didn't look like one of those weird glitches either.  After grabbing some torches and heading out, I found that one of the fence blocks was missing.  How could the sheep remove a piece of fencing?  A similar noise to the one from before startled me from behind.  The air was just filled with these strange glowing spots.  A few stone bricks from my house were missing.  Seeing this, I decided to wait until morning to investigate, and threw some cobble into the furnace.  I had to patch this hole in the front of my house as quick as possible.  Whatever strange thing that may be out there will probably burn up upon sunrise anyway.  I grabbed one of my now-customizable books from the shelf and turned to a familiar page: "Enderman," it read...

This is another concept of an enderman that I had.  Endermen are probably the most mysterious mob in all of Minecraft, so I think it's fun to create lore and "biology" for them.

The end is a different dimension, perhaps on a higher plane of existence, where these mysterious beings reside.  They are not slaves, but are tasked all through the End-night to gather resources from other dimensions and bring them to their king.  They do not really have minds of their own, akin to "enlightened zombies."  They know all there is to know, but don't really have free will.  The constant travel into our dimension takes a great toll on their bodies, and the material of which they are made is not well suited to exist in our dimension.  This is why they can teleport; our dimension is quick to reject them, allowing them to easily slip out momentarily.  No one truly knows what their intentions are, but it is suspected that they are not inherently sinister in nature.  Their flesh is strange, feeling like jello at times and sand at others, almost as if the flesh is not real, but an illusion or mind trick.  An enderman cannot be harmed, but is sometimes forced to relinquish its "ender pearl" and return to its own dimension.  It is not known whether enderman can remain in our realm during daylight, but it is suspected that they cannot.  Some have theorized that sunlight simply makes them invisible, and darkness is needed to see past this illusion.

Anyway, here's a link to my other minecraft post: OTHER MINECRAFT POST HERE CLICK ON IT LOL

As always, opening the image in a new tab will lead to the best view of it.  Comments are much appreciated, and yes I will be your best friend if you leave one.

New Alien Race Concept

And now continuing alien art:

I've had this concept on paper for awhile now, but just today redrew it, inked it, and scanned it.

So, so far we have the zombies, the crustaceans, and now the.......jelly....flowers.  This guy is all tentacles and petals, with a brain-like sac of neural tissue and fluid on top.  The "head" pokes out from between the tentacles, and has seven compound eye-spots (in a hexagonal shape).  This creature does most of its sensing with its upper-tier petals and shorter tentacles (just made that up lol).  This is the only concept I have so far for this race, but I'd like to see some extreme variation among them (physically).  Let me know what you think.

As a reminder, here are the other race concepts:
Zombies and Crustaceans
More Zombies
Another Crustacean

Yeah, so leave dem commentz please.

Minecraft Alt Art Concepts

Alright, I've been doodling minecraft mobs for awhile during class, so I figured I'd post some of the ideas that I came up with.  We'll start with Creepers. (One Enderman snuck in there somehow)

For the best views, open the pics in new tabs.

I had a hard time coming up with a more realistic Creeper concept.  Basically, it was the body shape giving me the most trouble.  No creature is shaped like that in real life, with four stubby legs and a head resting at the top of a vertical body.  So first I thought aliens with weird tentacles would be the best way to convey a Creeper (right half of the pic, minus the Enderman).  I also thought that a skull would be the best way to convey the face, because any creature that I could fit into that body type would look weird if it had two eyes and a frowning mouth.  The skull is basically just a mask, and not actually a head with a brain in it, but it does signify a face / is meant to scare people (miners?)  The Creeper in the exact middle is the next one I did, and the concepts on the left grew from that.  I think it looks better than the "alien with tentacles growing out of a human skull" concept.

Next: Ghasts, Endermen, and a magma guy

Endermen are pretty obvious:  just make them look like tall black people.  In the game, Endermen have glowing eyes and jaws that they open (to freighten you? I don't fucking know), but I thought it would make more sense to go with a faceless concept.  Not having a face makes them more mysterious, and Endermen have unknown intentions.  Also maybe we can't see their faces in our dimension?  It could just be that we can't comprehend their faces, or what they actually look like.  Anyway, they're faceless.  I also like to imagine they they are not made up of flesh (like skin, muscle, bone...), but their bodies are made up of some foreign material that doesn't react well in our dimension (lol enderflesh?).

And the Ghasts.  The scariest motherfuckers in the game.  They have a face (without a nose), and they scream at you and shoot fireballs.  Obviously I went with fairly scary or realistic faces, because their face is pretty much all I have to work with.  I went with one non-ghost concept, it looks kind of like an octopus.

The magma guy (cube? slime?) is just......whatever.  I don't know why I drew him.

Anyway, that's what I do when I'm bored in class.  I love getting feedback so please please please leave a comment or something.  See ya later.

Crustacean REMIX

Yesterday I decided to draw again, so I drew a different (or newer) example of the crustacean-based alien race.  Its head and shell shape contain the biggest differences, but otherwise it's the same creature.  More detailed, maybe.  Anyway, I encourage you to look back at the old one (old = from November lol) and compare them, and let me know what you think.

WITH FUCKING COMMENTS, PLEASE.

...clicking on it will make it bigger...
...opening it in a new tab will make it EVEN BIGGER...
Here's the old concept

Anyway, I hope to be back later today, or withing a few days, with alt art of Minecraft.

See ya
