Enderman

-- Last night there was a strange noise while I was trying to sleep.  I wanted to ignore it, but something inside me said that I could not sleep because monsters were nearby.  I turned and could see faint glowing particles outside the windows, fading in the night.  Just then I saw that one of my sheep was outside of the pen, and it didn't look like one of those weird glitches either.  After grabbing some torches and heading out, I found that one of the fence blocks was missing.  How could the sheep remove a piece of fencing?  A similar noise to the one from before startled me from behind.  The air was just filled with these strange glowing spots.  A few stone bricks from my house were missing.  Seeing this, I decided to wait until morning to investigate, and threw some cobble into the furnace.  I had to patch this hole in the front of my house as quick as possible.  Whatever strange thing that may be out there will probably burn up upon sunrise anyway.  I grabbed one of my now-customizable books from the shelf and turned to a familiar page: "Enderman," it read...

This is another concept of an enderman that I had.  Endermen are probably the most mysterious mob in all of Minecraft, so I think it's fun to create lore and "biology" for them.

The end is a different dimension, perhaps on a higher plane of existence, where these mysterious beings reside.  They are not slaves, but are tasked all through the End-night to gather resources from other dimensions and bring them to their king.  They do not really have minds of their own, akin to "enlightened zombies."  They know all there is to know, but don't really have free will.  The constant travel into our dimension takes a great toll on their bodies, and the material of which they are made is not well suited to exist in our dimension.  This is why they can teleport; our dimension is quick to reject them, allowing them to easily slip out momentarily.  No one truly knows what their intentions are, but it is suspected that they are not inherently sinister in nature.  Their flesh is strange, feeling like jello at times and sand at others, almost as if the flesh is not real, but an illusion or mind trick.  An enderman cannot be harmed, but is sometimes forced to relinquish its "ender pearl" and return to its own dimension.  It is not known whether enderman can remain in our realm during daylight, but it is suspected that they cannot.  Some have theorized that sunlight simply makes them invisible, and darkness is needed to see past this illusion.

Anyway, here's a link to my other minecraft post: OTHER MINECRAFT POST HERE CLICK ON IT LOL

As always, opening the image in a new tab will lead to the best view of it.  Comments are much appreciated, and yes I will be your best friend if you leave one.
